How To Make Sticky Dates Cake
Place the dates in a bowl and pour boiling water onto it. Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius. Grease a 9 inch cake tin. Beat butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one by one while beating. Next, fold in the flour and ground cinnamon using a wooden spoon.
Add the baking soda to the dates and water and then pour into the creamed mixture. Stir until everything is evenly combined. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 80-90 minutes or until well risen and firm to touch.
