A classic American cookie, Chocolate Chip Cookies are moist and crunchy and they just melt in your mouth…As an afterthought…these cookies are highly addictive as well!!!
2 cups plus 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
How To
Preheat the oven to 190 degree celsius. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Sift together flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.
Cream together butter, milk, brown sugar and white sugar until thoroughly blended. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly until smooth. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until just combined. Take care not to overbeat. Add the chocolate chips and mix until these are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Scoop 2 tablespoons of the batter onto the prepared cookie sheet. Repeat this process until the batter is over. Take care to space the scoops of batter about 2 inches apart . Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the cookies turn golden brown on the edges.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 1 minute. Transfer to a wire rack and let these chocolate chip cookies cool completely before storing them in airtight jars.
